60 tons of human feces threatens Alaska
This is going to be gross, you are not going to believe this, no matter how Modern a Civilization reaches, Sh*t happens and they need to deal with it.
Do you know until the 19 century, London Municipal corporation was pumping Human feces into the Thames river. The situation got so worse at one point of time that the whole of London stank.
Sewage system that you see and use is a Modern Marvel, thanks to Rome. But such Marvels are only limited to the metropolis and definitely not at Alaska.
It would be heartening to learn that Alaska, the untouched beauty has been raped to the extremities that Nature is now saying, Enough is Enough.
Do you know that there is an estimated 60 tons of frozen human feces left behind by climbers. The point of concern is, the once frozen feces which was brushed under the carpet of fine snow is melting away.
No wonder there are lot of Research published which talks about the dangerous of drinking snow water. But the irony is none of works published did explicitly name the reason or tied the cause to the presence of human feces.
Research suggests that, in general, the bacteria and other bugs that live in feces survive even after being buried in the snow for years or even dropped in a crevasse.
Tests of the rivers into which the glacier melts have turned positive for fecal coliform bacteria.. More so they are biologically active, that would also mean the E. coli bacteria that was in the waste when it was buried will be still be alive and well. We have a health concern that needs immediate attention-reported an independent researcher.
This is more than gross and also calls for alarm and causes one to wonder, why in the first place such acts of intolerable magnitude that defiles these Natural beauty was left to continue and grow as if nothing has ever happened.
With people blowing their horns on climate change when massive tons of feces that are left behind is continually polluting the snow fed rivers and streams and ravenously spreading nauseating filth, the question to be asked here is, where are Climate Change watchers?
