The world will never be the same again-COVID 19 aftermath

The world today has hit its almost near end. No one thought it would come this soon, but as it is written, like a thief in the night, the devourer would creep in, to annihilate everything. Of course, much of the blame rests within us.

Everything Commercialized

It all started when Nature given water was commercialized and private sectors were given contracts to tunnel and sell this precious life force. Of course, there would be a million justification as to purity and contamination. Well, if purity and contamination was the question and that the water sold was free from all of these, then how is that people succumbed to the COVID 19’s onslaught?

Next came in the commercialization of Air. Now in cities like Delhi, if you wish to have clean air, then you ought to buy it. A cylinder of clean air would cost you anything from $90 to $150.

So, you would see now, everything and anything had been commercialized and the poor has no means whatsoever to earn or even to sustain their lives.

Next the Hospital industry, when Florence Nightingale started the movement of helping the sick and wounded, the only purpose that she had was to serve the poor and the suffering. But today, none of the private Hospitals would have even heard the name of Florence Nightingale. We are not blaming them, for their focus is not to serve but to fleece the general public.

Just take a visit to any of the Private Hospitals that you could find. Withing 5 years of their starting, they would have amazed new venture and new initiates irrespective of their tract record for recovery.

They might claim to have the best physicians, but mind you, it is their claim. A physician is considered best if and only if, he cures the ailments of the sick. If that be the yardstick then there be an inverse proportionality between the number of people who get admitted and those who get discharged.

Morality decay

If there be one thing that mankind ought to be careful then it is this, Morality, or Moral values. Today we live in a world that considers Morality to be a bygone virtue. Not long ago, before the COVID 19’s onslaught, I had the opportunity to meet with one of my past students. The reason I could remember him is because of his prodigical genius that he was blessed with.

During his University days, every member of the faculty knew him and had clearly decided that this young man would go out become a man of valor and would make worthy contributions to the Nation.

Now, years passed by and everything about this young man was forgotten except the memory that he would have become someone great and worthy. So with this past in my mind when I saw the pathetic condition that the young was, I just couldn’t believe my eyes.

Of course, I mustered some courage to go up to speak to him. Because given the context and his appearance not only me even you would have assumed him to be a junkie.

The student recognized me and the first thing that I asked him was this, “Dwayne, what happened to you?” seeing me he wept inconsolably. Later on I learned that his wife migrated to the US, with the pretext that she would be placing in the papers for him, so he sold all of his mother’s assets along with his to ensure the success of her immigration.

Now days became months, and months became years, this young man spent his life with this sole aspiration and belief that someday this lady love of his would return to take him with her.

But nothing happened, later he realize that this young lady has picked up a native person and has settled there. This news turned everything that the young man hoped and aspired for, upside down.

This is not a one of incident but cases like these has been too sporadic. Men and women, leave their partners and beloveds all for money. Guess what, when Morality degrade occurs, the end result is Sodomm and Gomorrah.

Of Course, the funny thing is that when we talk about Sodom and Gomorrah, people always things about fire from heaven. But you need to know that there is no prototype in awarding judgement.

Yesterday it was Salt, Sulfur and Fire, today it is COVID and Rainfall. You see we are dealing with Powers beyond our imagination. The pun is, people are still stupid enough to go about their same routines without even having a slightest clue about their stupidity.
